Georgia began her practice in litigation and debt recovery matters appearing as solicitor advocate in both the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria and the Costs Court jurisdiction of the Supreme Court of Victoria. Georgia then moved into the family and criminal law areas. Georgia now acts for clients in all aspects of family law, including divorce, sensitive parenting disputes, relocation matters, spousal maintenance, multi-layered financial matters, and matters involving family violence.
Georgia is committed to providing her clients with the support and knowledge they require to move forward with the next chapter of their lives. She is well known for providing realistic, plain English and accessible services to her clients.
Georgia now regularly appears as solicitor advocate on behalf of her clients in both the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria. Where appropriate, Georgia encourages clients to engage in meaningful pre-litigation alternative dispute resolution in an effort to resolve matters without the need for litigation. However, Georgia will also advise clients when it is appropriate and in their interests to commence court proceedings.
Georgia is an enthusiastic supporter of the mighty Hawks, which often makes for some interesting conversations with Geelong locals. The rivalry is well and truly alive.
